** WHEN TRUTH BECOMES TREASON
In a free society, we are supposed to know the truth. In a society where truth becomes treason, however, we are in big trouble. The truth is that our foreign spying, meddling, and outright military intervention in the post-World War II era has made us less secure, not more. And we have lost countless lives and spent trillions of dollars for our trouble. Too often official government lies have provided justification for endless, illegal wars and hundreds of thousands of resulting deaths and casualties.Despite unanimous opposition from leading media freedom organizations, the Hungarian parliament has adopted a controversial law overhauling the state-owned media and creating a Media Council with utterly disproportionate powers. The law was passed by an overwhelming majority of votes (256 to 87) on 21 December.Appointed directly by the government, the Media Council's five members will not only have a right of oversight but also the authority to impose heavy fines of up to 700,000 euros for a TV station and 89,000 euros for an online publication for content that is not politically balanced or violates human dignity. The council can also punish offences against religion and the nation, while journalists can be forced to reveal their sources when national security is involved. Although the government intends to ensure fair balance in the media, it has not respected this principle in its choice of Media Council members, who all belong to the ruling Fidesz party. The council is supposed to enforce balance but it will have no opposition representatives. The more freely information flows, the stronger the society becomes, because then citizens of countries around the world can hold their own governments accountable. They can begin to think for themselves. Censorship should not be in any way accepted by any company from anywhere. And in West, companies need to make a principled stand. This needs to be part of our Graecoroman culture. Consumers worldwide will reward companies that follow those principles.Freedom of speech means freedom from interference, suppression or punitive action by the government — and nothing else. It does not mean the right to demand the financial support or the material means to express your views at the expense of other men who may not wish to support you. Freedom of speech includes the freedom not to agree, not to listen and not to support one's own antagonists. A right does not include the material implementation of that right by other men; it includes only the freedom to earn that implementation by one's own effort. Private citizens cannot use physical force or coercion; they cannot censor or suppress anyone's views or publications. Only the government can do so. And censorship is a concept that pertains only to governmental action.Defend the rights of individuals to unrestricted freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the right of individuals to dissent from government itself. Oppose any abridgment of the freedom of speech through government censorship, regulation or control of communications media. The government cannot gag forums, internet groups, electronic bulletin boards, communications networks, and other interactive electronic media as we hold them to be the functional equivalent of speaking halls and printing presses in the age of electronic communications, and as such deserving of full freedom.Emulating the disgusting paradigm of infamous Graecokleptocrats, who persecute and jail dissident bloggers, the government of Hungary terrorizes dissident bloggers. Blogging in Hungary and Greece is considered an extreme-risk avocation. Freakish Graecokleptocrats accuse dissident bloggers of treason, confiscate their computers, and lock them is jail! Freak galore! These prisoners of conscience follow the long tradition of Socrates, who was killed by the Athenian democracy. The governments of Hungary and Greece use the cybercops as a political tool. On October 18, 2010, a vindictive minister of the Greek government went insane, and she did not think twice about abusing her position in destroying a dissident blogger, an innocent victim of a wild political witch hunt. A freakish gang of brutal cybercops broke into the home and into the college office of a distinguished professor and robbed his computers, software, files, documents, personal data, personal codes, and personal secrets. The wild cybercops locked the 65-year old professor in jail, they humiliated him with handcuffs, fingerprints, mugshots, and lies, leaked false information to the media, and initiated sham court proceedings for treason! There was no mattress, no pillow, and no toilet facility in his jail cell. At night, the world renown had to urinate in a bottle! There was neither toilet paper nor soap. He lost his job, and his life is stolen forever by a deranged minister. Smart words are more effective than smart bombs! **CRACKING DOWN ON INTERNET FREEDOM
At Alexander Lukashenko's first postelection press conference on 20 December he promised to crack down on internet freedom and put an end to dissident bloggers. So far he has kept his promise. A huge number of homes and offices of bloggers have been searched. Computers have been confiscated from Belarus's NGOs and the independent media, including EU-funded Belsat, Euroradio, private Nasha Niva and others. The private flats of journalists and activists have been carefully combed.Emulating the disgusting paradigm of infamous Graecokleptocrats, who persecute and jail dissident bloggers, the government of Belarus terrorizes dissident bloggers. Blogging in Belarus and Greece is considered an extreme-risk avocation. Freakish Graecokleptocrats accuse dissident bloggers of treason, confiscate their computers, and lock them is jail! Freak galore! These prisoners of conscience follow the long tradition of Socrates, who was killed by the Athenian democracy. On 29 December, about 300 detainees were released after serving their full 10-day term. Around 300 have longer sentences. They will spend the New Year in prison. Another 26 people are still being held in KGB detention center. Among them are seven presidential candidates and members of their campaign teams, bloggers Natalya Radzina, Irina Khalip, and Nasta Palajanka. If convicted they face spending up to 15 years in jail.Strangely, this election result follows a three-year strategy of regime democratisation and the EU's attempts to tame monster Lukashenko. Even in Belarus, nobody expected such a twist. The ten wannabe presidents enjoyed relative freedom during electoral campaign, without any illusion about their popularity amongst the Belarusian people. But on election night the police used stun grenades and beat severely people during the final cleaning of the Nezalejnasci Square. The rally was announced widely. 25,000 people gathered together on 19 December. Around 10pm a group of state agents provocateurs began to smash windows. This was the trigger for the riot police to sweep in. Within an hour central Minsk was fully controlled by the militia and the military. The government of Greece uses the cybercops as a political tool. On October 18, 2010, a vindictive minister of the Greek government went insane, and she did not think twice about abusing her position in destroying a dissident blogger, an innocent victim of a wild political witch hunt. He lost his job, and his life is stolen forever by a deranged minister. Graecokleptocrats are the #1 enemy of the Greek people. That's why Graecokleptocrats are scared to walk on the streets of Athens. They know Athenians will attack them! Kleptocracy, perjury, and cybercop brutality are galloping in Greece, but Premier George Papandreou speaks no evil, hears no evil, and sees no evil. Selective hearing is a symptom of the cancer of kleptocracy! Smart words are more effective than smart bombs!
